VIA negative: the lesion looks Smooth, pink, uniform
VIA positive: the lesion turns acetone white

Uses lugol’s iodine to identify cervical pre cancer lesions
VILI positive: the lesion turns mustard- yellow colour
VILI negative: the cervix appears mahogany brown
