Pathophysiology

Bartholin gland cysts are commonly caused by the obstruction of the Bartholin gland’s ductal region. Blockage in the draining path of the gland leads to the accumulation of the secreted fluid, which builds up over time, thereby causing a cystic dilation of the gland.
