Etiology

The main cause: HPV types 16, 18 causing 70% of all cervical cancer whose mode of transmission being Sexual intercourse. With persistent HPV infection, women will slowly develop precancerous lesions and later cervical cancer if not treated. Only 6% of all infections lead to malignancy,90% disappear after infection.
