UROLOGY TESTICULAR TORSION Introduction

It is an urological emergency characterised by twisting of testis and/or Ā spermatic cord within the tunica vaginalis compromising the blood supply to the testicle. Testicular viability significantly decreases 6 hours after the onset of symptoms; hence, early diagnosis is key.
