Surgical treatment

Radical prostatectomy in case of localized tumor which involves the removal of the prostate gland, resection of the seminal vesicles, along with the surrounding tissue as well as dissection of the pelvic lymph nodes.

Surgical Androgen deprivation therapy (bilateral orchidectomy) in case of advanced prostate cancer

Radiotherapy

Pharmacological treatment

Goserelin (subcutaneous) 3.6mg every week or 10.8mg every 12weeks OR bicalutamide (PO) 50–150mg 24hourly
OR
Both LHRH and bicalutamide 50mg 24hourly if above options fail

OR Docetaxel 75mg/m2 every 3weeks
