Clinical features

In early stages, prostate carcinoma is asymptomatic.

As the disease progresses, the patient presents with:

• Frequent urination
• Nocturia
• Difficulty starting and maintaining a steady stream
• Hematuria
• Dysuria.

In advanced stages the patient may present with :

• Lower back pain in case of spinal invasion.
• Bloody stool in case of rectal invasion
• Cachexia
• Incontinence.

Digital rectal examination (DRE) reveals  firm or hard nodular mass.
