
Fetal heart rate
Basal fetal heart rate starts from 120bpm to 160 bpm. FHR above 160bpm is referred to as fetal tachycardia, and that below 120 bpm is referred to as fetal bradycardia.
Amniotic fluid (Liquor) status
It is presented as:
I– intact membranes
C-ruptured membranes, clear liquor
B-ruptured membranes, blood stained liquor
A-ruptured membranes, absent liquor
M-ruptured membranes, meconium stained liquor
Moudling the fetal skull bones
Molding is an important indication of how adequately the pelvis can accommodate the fetal head.
It is presented as:
0– separated bones. sutures felt easily
+-bones just touching each other
++-overlapping bones but reducible
+++-severely overlapping bones and non – reducible
