OBSTETRICS PUERPERIUM Vaginal changes

The vagina and the introitus gradually reduce in size but hardly regain theĀ nulliparous size and shape. Rugae start appearing by the third week but are lessĀ prominent. Vaginal epithelium starts proliferating after 4 to 6 weeks.
