Treatment

In case of intact ectopic pregnancy,

methotrexate (IV) 50mg/M2 single dose 

OR

methotrexate 2.5mg (PO) 24hourly for 5days (in case IV methotrexate is not available)

Perform weekly pelvic ultrasound to ensure regression of Gestation sac

Contraindications of methotrexate include a ruptured ectopic pregnancy, ectopic mass greater than 3.5 cm,presence of fetal cardiac activity, high level hCG value (10,000 IU), breastfeeding and immunodeficiency.

In case of ruptured ectopic pregnancy:

IV fluids based on the amount of blood lost

Blood transfusion if indicated depending on the blood loss

Perform Emergency explorative  laparotomy.
