Prognosis

The overall mortality rate from Fat Embolism Syndrome is estimated to be 5-15%.

Prognosis depends on the following factors:

• Age of the patient
• Other medical cormobidities
• System affected (Poor in Acute respiratory distress and )
• Timing for intervention.
