No need for laboratory investigations in patients with classical features.

Doppler ultrasound can be done to rule out vascular occlusion.

The following investigations can be done to rule out rhabdomyolysis:

Creatine phosphokinase (CPK).

Renal function tests

Urine myoglobin

Urinalysis.
