Clinical features

Severe lower abdominal pain.

A strong bearing down sensation.

Severe features of shock not proportional to the ongoing blood loss.

On abdominal examination, a fundal notch can be revealed or fundus can not be palpated at all.

On vaginal examination, smooth, round mass protruding through the cervix or vagina is evident.
