Treatment

Primary survey should be done based on ABCDE protocol and management should be done respectively.

Treatment is directed to an underlying cause, which may involve surgical treatment (Eg Explorative laparotomy) or simply a conservative treatment in absence of indications for surgery.

Conservative treatment may involve:

Gastric decompression

Analgesics

Broad spectrum antibiotics
