Introduction

Basilar skull fracture is the break in discontinuity of the bones making the base of the skull.

Basilar Skull/ Base of the skull is the floor of the cranial cavity which is made by the combination of ethmoid, sphenoid, occipital, paired frontal, and paired temporal bones. The base of skull is divided into anterior, middle, and posterior cranial fossae.
